January 2025 President’s Update for Blog
Happy New Year, NACVSO members! As we step into a fresh chapter, I want to extend my gratitude for the commitment you’ve shown to our mission. Your dedication has made an indelible impact on the lives of our veterans, and I’m excited about the possibilities that lie ahead for each of us this year.
This January, I’d like to begin the year with a challenge: step beyond your comfort zone. Seek out new training opportunities-- not just to learn-- but to share your expertise with fellow advocates and community leaders. This year let’s expand our skills beyond our core and embrace a broader interconnectedness of our work across communities, agencies, and partners. I challenge myself and all of you to do something new and innovative. Form a new local coalition where the needs of veterans can be addressed alongside local partners. Introduce a novel outreach initiative to meet veterans where they are. Build a service network that ensures veterans never walk through the wrong door for services.
Bring home a fresh idea that your county office has never seen before.
This year, let’s push ourselves to grow, collaborate, and elevate our shared impact. By doing so, we ensure that NACVSO remains at the forefront of service, leadership, and advocacy across every level of government.
I look forward to witnessing the remarkable achievements you will bring to life throughout the coming year. Wishing you all a fulfilling, inspiring, and impactful New Year!
Warm regards,
Christopher Hinton President, NACVSO
