This month, we celebrate Valentine’s Day. Americans are expected to spend more than $27 billion for Valentine’s Day gifts, including $2.4 billion on candy alone.
On average, men will spend around $291 compared to women spending $106. More than 145 million cards will be exchanged, and 250 million roses sold.
While it’s a time to reflect on love and what love truly is, you’ll never understand what true love is until you understand love’s source.
God is the true source of all love. It’s amazing the work we put into love and relationships, hoping things will work out, when so many people never realize that God is love’s source.
But it’s not enough just to accept the love God has given us – we must also demonstrate God’s love to the world by loving and serving others.
Yes, love is an action word – you can tell someone how much you love them, but until you do something to prove it, you’re just saying a bunch of words.
As we serve one another, Jesus will be made known.
Accept the love God has offered and display that love to the world in the way you love and serve others at home, at church, helping veterans, and in the world.
1 Corinthians 16:14 – Let all your things be done with charity (love).
