David M. Tellefsen
First Sergeant, U.S. Marine Corps, Retired
David Tellefsen served in the Marine Corps from June 1999 to July 2021 (22yrs). He attended Recruit Training in Parris Island, South Carolina. After Graduation he attended the School of Infantry in Camp Geiger North Carolina where he earned the Occupational specialty of Infantry Rifleman (0311). He served as an Infantryman with Second Battalion 4th Marines, First Battalion 4th Marines, Anti-Terrorism Battalion, 4th Force Reconnaissance Detachment Hawaii, and First Battalion Fifth Marines. He also served as a career Counselor for the Marine Corps in Quantico Virginia, a Recruiter in Fond Du Lac Wisconsin, a Company First Sergeant for Headquarters Battalion Marine Corps Base Twenty-nine Palms California, and an Artillery Battery First Sergeant for India Battery and Head Quarters Battery Third Battalion Eleventh Marines. First Sergeant Tellefsen Deployed to various countries around the world 8 times to include 2 Combat tours in Iraq. He received many Citations and awards to include the Meritorious Service Medal, 4 Navy/Marine Corps Commendation Medals, and 2 Navy/Marine Corps Achievement Medals to name a few.
David Tellefsen is now serving Fond du Lac County as the County Veteran Service Officer where he is directly serving Veterans and their Families throughout the county.
