Professional Bio
David McCaffrey served as a Cryptologist in the United States Navy for over 20 years retiring in 2002.
Throughout, and following his Naval service, he worked side by side with intelligence agencies such as the National Security Agency and the Defense Intelligence Agency, targeting terrorist and criminal entities that threatened the United States and its citizens. Using his extensive knowledge in cryptology, signals intelligence and human intelligence, David provided vital insight to the task forces he worked with, earning him numerous defense, and military medals and commendations.
Following his senior roles in the military and defense contractors, he began dedicating more time to volunteer and work in his hometown of Somers, Connecticut. He has served in various roles in the American Legion as a District Commander, and as Post Commander for more than seven years. Today, David serves well over over 2,260 volunteer hours annually, holding multiple positions within Somers, CT; for the Department of Veterans Affairs, Registrar of Voters, and the Somers Fire Department.
Presently, David serves as the Director of Veterans Affairs, in Somers, Connecticut.
