Charles Schmitt

I served 20 years as a Forward Observer in the U.S. Army and retired as a First Sergeant. My tenure in the Army included numerous Leadership Development Courses, multiple deployments around the World and the privilege of working with some of the finest men and woman to have walked the Planet. I now work as an accredited Veteran Service Officer for Wexford County in Northern Michigan. I am absolutely honored and grateful to be in a position where I can continue to assist those who served, and their family members get the Benefits that they have earned. Additionally, I am involved and a member of our local DAV, VFW, AMVets, and American Legion Posts while also serving on our Township Board of Review.
I am passionate about EVERYTHING Veterans, Community involvement, and family (in no particular order).
I truly believe that we never know what effect we will have on someone, but we can generally control it being either positive or negative. Additionally, I believe that we as people have more in common than not.
