NSD & Accreditation

NACVSO Accreditation

NACVSO offers accreditation training during the annual training conference and during specially scheduled Contract Training classes.

Members who attend the required training classes and pass the end of course exam may apply for accreditation by submitting the necessary documents to the office of the National Service Director.

Those documents include:
A copy of the applicants DD-214 (if you are a veteran),
VA Form 21 with block 7a that states "NACVSO", and includes an original signature in blue ink (no fax copies)
A copy of the NACVSO Accredtitation Training certificate, and
A copy of the applicants current membership card.

Once accreditation is approved, annual Continuing Education Units are required.

Maintaining current membership in NACVSO is also required. Failure to maintain membership and/or failure complete the annual CEU requirement may result in a revocation of the accreditation.

Complete packets must be mailed to;

When submitting multiple application packets, each packet must include all of the necessary documents. Those processing the packets will not make copies of documents to complete the additional packets. They will be mailed back to you.


AMVETS Accreditation

AMVETS and NACVSO have a Memorandum of Agreement that allows NACVSO members who hold NACVSO Accreditation to apply for and receive AMVETS Accreditation.

The applicant must maintain their accreditation with NACVSO and abide by all NACVSO accreditation requirements.

The applicant must be a current member of AMVETS.

The application packet must consist of;
VA Form 21 with block 7a that states "AMVETS", and includes an original signature (no fax copies)
A copy of the TRIP Training Certificate,
A copy fo the applicants DD-214 if a veteran,
A copy of the AMVETS Membership Card.

Complete packets must be mailed to;

DAV Accreditation

The applicant must submit VA Form 21 to the office of the NACVSO National Service Director.

  • Your NACVSO Accreditation Certificate
  • Your TRIP Training Certificate
  • and your signed DAV Accreditation Agreement.

VVA Accreditation

VVA and NACVSO have a Memorandum of Agreement that allows NACVSO members who hold NACVSO Accreditation to apply for and receive VVA Accreditation.

The applicant must submit VA Form 21 to the office of the NACVSO National Service Director.

Application as Accredited Representative-VA Form 21

The application packet must include a copies of:

  • Your NACVSO Accreditation Certificate
  • and your TRIP Training Certificate.

TREA Accreditation

TREA and NACVSO have a Memorandum of Agreement that allows NACVSO members who hold NACVSO Accreditation to apply for and receive TREA Accreditation.

The applicant must submit VA Form 21 to the office of the NACVSO National Service Director.

Application as Accredited Representative-VA Form 21

The application packet must include a copies of:

  • Your NACVSO Accreditation Certificate
  • and your TRIP Training Certificate.

MOPH Accreditation

MOPH and NACVSO have a Memorandum of Agreement that allows NACVSO members who hold NACVSO Accreditation to apply for and receive MOPH Accreditation.

The applicant must submit VA Form 21 to the office of the NACVSO National Service Director.

Application as Accredited Representative-VA Form 21

The application packet must include a copies of:

  • Your NACVSO Accreditation Certificate
  • Your TRIP Training Certificate
  • and a signed copy of the MOPH Accreddreditation Agreement.
